    Outlook – Save sent items in shared mailbox – solution for Office 365 and Exchange.

    I have spent some time on trying to get shared mailboxes to work correctly. We want a solution so when an email is sent from a shared mailbox, the sent email goes into the shared mailbox sent folder, rather than the user’s sent folder. For Office 365 there is a simple solution, but for Exchange* you might need a registry change which can be used for Office 2010, 2013 and 2016 .

    Outlook instant search functionality not working – Cannot display the folder.

    I have been investigating an issue where Outlook instant search is not working. The environment is a Windows 2012 remote desktop server with Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2016 on premise. When you try to do a search nothing happens. The list of emails in the folder stays the same. After an intensive search, most of the results were for users getting limited results, but this was different. If you try to change the search functionality to search “All Outlook Items” it returns with a error “Cannot display the folder”

    Outlook missing emails after being moved to a folder

    OK, well todays problem I’ve not come across before is strange. A user reports that they have moved some emails into a subfolder in outlook and they’ve disappeared. I check the folder and it’s empty. Hmm. I send a test email to the account, move it to the folder and all is good. I move the email back to the inbox and ask the user to move it. It disappears. I then search the whole mailbox and it appears in the search results. When hovering over it I see the folder name is different to the folder name in outlook.I found the folder buried under several sub folders which contained…
